Orakpo, Meriweather out with injuries

Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo and strong safety Brandon Meriweather each suffered serious-looking injuries in the first quarter of Saturdays preseason game in Chicago.Neither player will return, the team said.Orakpo was hurt while trying to tackle Bears wide receiver Devin Hester in the open field. Orakpo extended his left arm, which made contact with Hesters churning legs, and crumpled to the turf clutching his shoulder area.On the sideline, Orakpo had a bag of ice wrapped around his shoulder.Meriweather, meantime, suffered a left knee injury. He remained on the turf for several minutes, before walking slowlywith help from the teams trainersto the bench.Check back after the game for the latest on both players.
