Washington's first draft selection as the 'Commanders' is officially in the books, as the Burgundy and Gold nabbed Penn State wide receiver Jahan Dotson 16th overall after trading back five spots in a deal with New Orleans.
Dotson, who opted to have his own draft party rather than attend the festivities in Las Vegas, was surrounded by plenty of friends and family when his name was called.
And, as it is for many players on draft night: it didn't take long for Dotson's emotions to show.
Take a look:
In Washington, Dotson should immediately be in the mix for the starting No. 2 wideout spot opposite standout Terry McLaurin.
The rest of the wide receiver room is rounded out by Curtis Samuel, Cam Sims, Dyami Brown, and Dax Milne.
