Beal out vs. Sixers, McClellan in, Wall on minutes restriction

PHILADELPHIA -- The Wizards will have John Wall back in the lineup on a minutes restriction for Wednesday's game with the Philadelphia 76ers, but Bradley Beal will miss his third game in a row because of a right thigh injury.

Sheldon McClellan will start for the second game in a row while Marcus Thornton, who started the first game missed by Beal, comes off the bench.

"We're going to monitor his minutes," Wizards coach Scott Brooks. "He has been progressing well. He feels good. He's met every mark that we have in place. This is the next progression of playing in a back-to-back. He feels great."

Brooks wouldn't specify the minutes limit for Wall. The Wizards play the New York Knicks at home on Thursday.

Beal's status is murky.

"Every day he is feeling a little better," Brooks said. "We just want to be cautious about it."
