Wizards District Gaming, the Washington Wizards' NBA 2K League affiliate, is in position to significantly improve upon the 7-9 record they put up in 2019.
They are set to make the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 2K League draft for the first time in franchise history. The draft is scheduled to begin on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Despite a seven percent chance to win the lottery, Wizards District Gaming won the top pick in October.
NBA 2K League teams carry six people on their rosters, and after retaining ReeseDaGod23 and Dayfri from last season's group, Wizards District Gaming will use the four-round draft to fill out the rest of the team.
The draft-eligible player pool will consist of new players who were selected by the 2K league following a tryout, players from the league's European invitational, Asia-Pacific invitational, 11 team-hosted Pro-Am tournaments and players who were unretained from 2019.
If you weren't already following the NBA 2K League, this would be a good time to start paying attention to Wizards District Gaming and who they select with their top pick.
