Power outage sends Flyers, Caps to the locker room early

The second period between the Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals preseason game was nearing its end when both teams entered the locker room earlier than expected. 

power outage ended the second period 2:54 early and sent the two teams into the intermission with the game was tied at 1-1. The leftover time was tacked into the third period as the Wells Fargo Arena worked through the lighting issues. 

The issue only lasted a few minutes as both teams hit the ice to begin the third period with no further lighting problems.
