The second period between the Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals preseason game was nearing its end when both teams entered the locker room earlier than expected.
A power outage ended the second period 2:54 early and sent the two teams into the intermission with the game was tied at 1-1. The leftover time was tacked into the third period as the Wells Fargo Arena worked through the lighting issues.
The issue only lasted a few minutes as both teams hit the ice to begin the third period with no further lighting problems.
