The Baltimore Orioles are inching towards another triple-digit loss season and the light at the end of this rebuild tunnel is the future. One of the marquee players in their system is outfielder Colton Cowser, who the Orioles selected with the fifth overall pick in this year's MLB Draft.

As a result, plenty of Baltimore fans will be monitoring his development through the minor leagues. The 21-year-old is 15 games into his stint with the Delmarva Shorebirds in Low-A baseball and on Saturday night, Cowser hit his first home run with the Orioles affiliate.

Cowser is batting .316 with one home run and 15 RBI with a .481 OBP and .439 SLG in 15 games for the Shorebirds. The outfielder is one of the prized prospects that fans hope pans out with Baltimore having one of the top-five farm systems in baseball, as the organization is stockpiling young talent.
